STAFF
Executive Director, Michael Lowder
Artsplosure's executive director serves as chief executive officer and
is responsible for all managerial and administrative duties related to
agency operations and festival productions. He has more than 20 years
of nonprofit and private sector professional experience, and has taught
a graduate level course in nonprofit fund development for North Carolina
State University's Graduate Public Administration program. He initiated
and oversaw production of the first Durham blues festival, and planned
and implemented the arts festival component of U.S. Olympic Festival '87.
As board president of the Wake County Arts Council in 1986-87, he initiated
negotiations with the Raleigh Arts Foundation that led to the founding
of the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County. He currently serves
on United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County's board of directors,
and has participated in the downtown Raleigh Livable Streets planning
initiative and spoken at a First Night International Conference workshop.
Program Director, Terri Dollar
Program Director Terri Dollar is responsible for directing productions,
program planning and coordination of all on-site festival operations for
First Night Raleigh and the Artsplosure Spring Festival. A working actor
and talent agency owner, program director Terri Dollar served on the North
Carolina Theatre board of directors and is a member of the Carolina Arts
Festival and Performance Edge boards of directors. She has spoken at First
Night International Conferences, is an active member of the North Carolina
Presenter's Consortium, and has assisted Progress Energy and the City
of Raleigh with several events including the BTI Center Opening and the
Hurricane's Celebration.
Marketing & Promotions Manager, Jackie Smith
Jackie Smith serves as the principal liaison among Artsplosure's
professional staff, advertising agencies, and media sponsors in support
of the festivals' marketing and promotional campaigns.
Operations Manager, Dylan Morris
Dylan Morris coordinates Artsplosure's visual arts program and is
responsible for many logistical aspects of event production, including
the spring festival's Art Market and event admissions. He is responsible maintaining Artsplosure's office and supports the Executive Director's grants seeking and sponsorship solicitation efforts.
Operations Assistant, Rebecca Rolfe
The newest member of the Artsplosure staff, Rebecca Rolfe supports the programming and operational goals of the other staff members including carrying out many administrative duties in the Artsplosure office. Rebecca is also responsible for vendor coordination.
