Plan your night.
Study the program and choose 2 or 3 indoor performances to attend. Don't try to do everything. Allow ample time to get from one location to the next, and arrive early. Admission to performance sites is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and programs start at the scheduled times. Programs often draw full houses and late admission is rare. Plan back-up choices in case a show is filled.
First Night Tram
Use the First Night Raleigh Tram, operating between venues in the evening. See the event map for locations of tram stops.
First Night Raleigh is a weatherproof event!
Dress in layers for comfort at both inside and outside venues.
Food
Food vendors are located on the Bicentennial Plaza, in several locations along Fayetteville Street, and on Davie Street adjacent to the Main Stage.
Restrooms
Some performance sites have restrooms available to the public. Portable outdoor facilities are located near the Capitol Grounds on Morgan Street, on Martin Street, and near the Main Stage area on Davie Street. See event map for locations.
Accessibility
Most performance sites are accessible to people with mobility impairments. See the Schedule at a Glance to find audio described or sign interpreted performances. If you'd like us to reserve a seat at one of the interpreted performances, please contact our office prior to 5:00 PM on December 29.
Security
Raleigh and State Capitol Police will be on site throughout the evening to ensure your safety.
First Aid, Lost and Found
Red Cross First Aid will be located inside the North Carolina Museum of History during the Children's Celebration and moves to the entrance of the Progress Energy building on Fayetteville Street (behind the Main Stage) at 6:00 pm. This is also the headquarters for lost personal items and lost children.
