Dale Ann Bradley
7:00, 8:00, 9:00 & 10:00
First Presbyterian Church Sanctuary
A voice “gentle as a mountain song bird,” upbeat and joyous, delivers a blend of gospel and bluegrass. Building on time-tested themes of love and the sacrifices made by hard-working people, her songs speak to the struggles of people today. From blues to gospel, Dale Ann’s pure soprano voice draws the audience to the heart of each song. Dale Ann and her group were nominated for four awards this year at the International Bluegrass Music Awards.

Vicki Simmons (bass & vocals) has been writing songs with Dale Ann for over a decade, with more than a dozen Bradley-Simmons tunes appearing on Dale Ann’s first three albums. Founding member of the New Coon Creek Girls, Vicki has toured with Dale Ann since 1991.

Michael Cleveland (fiddle) was introduced to a national audience by the 1994 film Gather At The River, in which he appeared with legendary guitarist Doc Watson. Michael’s solo release Flame Keeper won Best Instrumental Album honors at the 2002 IBMA Awards. He also won for Fiddle Player of the Year in 2004.

Jesse Brock (mandolin) has the onstage energy to power a three-day music fest with enough amps left over to start your car for the drive home. Whether he’s delivering an electrifying solo in high gear or tasteful melodic lines to a poignant ballad, Jesse’s style always lets the singer and the song shine through.

Pete Kelly (banjo & vocals) has played with several bands in the Northeast, most recently with New York-based Buddy Merriam and Black Roads. He writes a column for Banjo Newsletter – a monthly magazine for banjo players—called “Jimmy Martin Banjo,” which explores the styles and tunes of banjo players of all levels and ages, and in recent years has taught workshops at the Maryland Banjo Academy and the SPGMA.
